Although you may have never heard of Lektromelodica yet, if
you’ve watched VH1′s Single Ladies, Basketball Wives or MTV’s Punk’d,
you’ve probably heard their music.
“Lektromelodica has over 20 music placements in these shows and others in the last 2 years.” LektroMelodica is a collective of Philadelphia musicians and vocalists (Keath Lowry, Austin Woodlin, Naté, Damarco, Larry Valentine, Courtney Lyneé, Selina Carrera, more) who describe their sound as “a musical hybrid of electronic and acoustic instrumentation with a heavy focus on memorable, melodic songwriting.” The group’s curator Keath “Lion” Lowry’s compositions have been placed in films such as Lean On Me and When Will I Be Loved, and more recently scored placements on seasons 1 and 2 of the VH1 series Single Ladies with the single “Love Me or Leave Me.”
LektroMelodica’s self-titled debut EP (released June 11, 2013) is an array of midtempo and uptempo songs that can blend right in as catchy “club-bangers”. However the lyrical and conceptual content proves to be much deeper than your average Top 40 hit, showcasing real songs about real things and people. Now available on iTunes and Amazon!
